Monica Zohar is a bilingual (English/Spanish) bicultural (Mexican/ American) counselor who wholeheartedly believes it is important to create healing spaces where people, individually or in community, can embrace their roots, cultural values, and personal stories to overcome all of life’s challenges and stuck points and access their full potential.
Her goal is to meet clients where they are at and guide them to meaning-making, fulfillment, authentic life experience, as well as transformative and long-lasting change and healing. As a warm, caring, attentive, and respectful psycho-spiritual clinician, she blends evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, attachment, narrative therapy, mindfulness-based humanistic, dialectical behavior therapy, existential, relational therapy, depth-oriented psychodynamic/Jungian therapy, and soul-oriented techniques (breathwork and guided meditation, energy healing, reiki, shamanic journeys, somatic techniques, creative & expressive arts therapies, inner child healing and parts work, shadow work, therapy in nature, personalized and group ceremonies, and cultural integration.
