Laura Pietroski
Mental Health Associate
Laura truly believes everyone has the resources inside themselves for change. Her main goal is to help people find and use those resources. Laura follows a person centered approach and uses a variety of techniques including mindfulness, grief and trauma informed modalities, experiential learning, creative expression and art therapies and psychoeducation to empower clients and help manage symptoms and build life-long coping skills. She is passionate about helping clients work through anxiety, depression, life transition/shifts, chronic illness, grief and loss, trauma, interpersonal relationships and family dynamics, self-esteem and identity issues, behavioral disorders, and emotional regulation.
She has a holistic view in not only her therapeutic practices but also her own life. One size does not fit all. Every person is unique; therefore everyone deserves a personalized treatment plan. Laura is a mental health associate who has an undergraduate degree from DePaul University in Psychology with a cognitive neuroscience concentration. She is currently attending Adler University to receive her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is supervised under Dr. Liana Gerdov. Laura wants to make sure her clients feel safe and comfortable throughout the therapeutic process. We are all constantly learning, growing, and adapting. Laura would love to become a part of that journey with you.
